This internationally awarded, cold-extracted extra virgin olive oil is made from hand-picked Moraiolo, Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino, Dolce Agogia, Rosciolo dell’Umbria and Nero di Panicale olives grown on a family farm in Umbria, Italy.
Most of the 2,000 trees are 400 years old, making Rastrello a heritage blend. The farm is certified organic and holds the “Colle del Trasimeno” PDO. Rastrello operates as a traditional farm, relying primarily on natural irrigation.
Olives are harvested early in the season, which increases the polyphenols and makes flavors and aromas richer and more complex.
